INDW vs SAW T20 Final: Match Highlights

 The final match of the t20 tri-series between India and South Africa women’s teams took place at the Buffalo Park Stadium in East London today.

Today India women’s team captain Harmanpreet Kaur won the toss and decided to bat first.

Batting first, India scored 109 runs losing 4 wickets in 20 overs and set a target of 110 runs to win against South Africa.

Chasing the target of 110 runs, the South African women’s team achieved the target of 110 runs by losing 5 wickets in 18 overs and with this victory, the South African women’s team won the title of this T20 tri-series.

 South African team’s female player Train was awarded the player of the match award.  He played a blistering inning of 57 runs in just 32 balls with the help of 6 fours and two sixes.

 Indian woman bowler Deepti Sharma, who bowled spin for India, was given the Player of the Series award.  She took a total of 9 wickets in this tri-series and was the leading wicket-taker.

 INDW vs SAW T20 Final: 1st Wicket- After winning the toss and opting to bat first, the Indian team did not have a good start.  In the very second over of the match, opener Smriti Mandhana was clean bowled by Nonkululeko Mlaba.  He played 8 balls and was dismissed for 0 runs without opening the account.

 INDW vs SAW T20 Final: 2nd Wicket- India’s second wicket fell in the seventh over.  On 21, Judy Rodricks tried to play the ball forward to Nonkululeko Mlaba, but she missed and was stumped out by wicketkeeper Sinalo Jafta standing behind the wicket.  Rodrigues contributed 11 runs.

 After 15 years, the Indian team’s score was 69 runs for the loss of 3 wickets and Indian batsman Harleen Deol was standing on the field handling one end.

 INDW vs SAW T20 Final: 4th Wicket- India’s fourth wicket fell in the form of batsman Harleen Deol in the 20th over.  Harleen was clean bowled by African bowler Ayabonga Khaka.  Harleen played a very good inning today and scored 46 runs with the help of 4 fours.

 The Indian women’s team scored 109 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in the entire 20 overs and gave a target of 110 runs to the South African team to win.

Nonkululeko Mlaba took two wickets for South Africa women bowlers, while other bowlers Ayabonga Khaka and Sune Luus took one wicket each.

 INDW vs SAW T20 Final: 1st Wicket- Chasing the target of 110 runs, the start of South Africa was not too good.  In the third over of the match, opener Laura Wolvaardt was clean bowled by Indian woman bowler Deepti Sharma.  Laura Wolvaardt faced 9 balls and got out for 0 runs.

 INDW vs SAW T20 Final: 3rd Wicket – Indian bowler Rajeshwari Gaikwad clean bowled African batsman Lara Goodall on the score of 21 runs in the very next over.  He scored 7 runs.

 INDW vs SAW T20 Final: 4th Wicket- South Africa’s fourth wicket fell in the form of captain Sune Luus.  In the 11th over, she was dismissed by Deepti Sharma on the ball of Indian bowler Renuka Singh.  Captain Luce scored 12 runs before being dismissed.

 INDW vs SAW T20 Final: 5th Wicket- South Africa’s fifth wicket fell on the score of 66 runs.  In the 14th over, Annerie Dercksen was caught by Indian bowler Sneh Rana while playing.  Annerie Dercksen contributed 8 runs.

 South Africa’s wickets were falling on one side, while on the other side, South African batsman Chole Tryon was standing on the ground holding one end and scoring runs continuously.

 He completed his earth century in the 17th over.  He completed this half-century in only 30 balls and scored the first half-century of his career.

 Chole Tryon gave victory to South Africa by hitting the last ball of the 18th over for a six and the women’s team of South Africa won the match by 5 wickets and won the tri-series.

 Chole Tryon scored an unbeaten 57 in 32 balls with the help of 6 fours and 2 sixes and contributed significantly to South Africa’s victory.
