INDW vs SAW T20: India has defeated South Africa by 27 runs in the first match of the T20 Tri Series in South Africa.

Highlights 2023: Match Summery
The first T20 match of the tri-series was played between India and South Africa women’s team at the Buffalo Park in East London.
Batting first after losing the toss, the Indian women’s team scored 147 runs in the allotted 20 overs. From India, Yashika Bhatia scored 34 runs, Deepti Sharma scored 33 runs, while Amanjot Kaur, playing the first international match of her career, scored a quick 41 runs.
Chasing 148 runs, the South African Women’s team could only manage 120 runs for nine wickets in 20 overs and lost the match by 27 runs. For the Africa women’s cricket team, captain Sune Luus scored 29 runs and her teammate Tryon scored 26 runs.

Opening Batters Yashika Bhatia and Smriti Mandhana, who came from Indian side, started India’s innings but India’s start was not good. Smriti Mandhana was dismissed for 14 runs in the third over.
Harleen Kaur, who came on the field for the second wicket, made a short partnership with Yashika Bhatia and went out on the team’s score of 34 runs. Ayabonga Khaka runout her.
On the score of 34 runs, Mlaba got Jemimah Rodrigues out caught for a duck. By the time Rodrigues was dismissed, India were 34 for 3 in 6.5 overs.

After 5 wickets, Amanjot Kaur came on the field who was going to play her first international match today. Amanjot Kaur and Radhika Sharma, who were present on the field, together started washing the bowlers of South Africa and both started scoring runs fast.
Radhika Sharma scored 33 runs in 23 races while Amanjot Kaur scored 41 runs in 30 races. Together they took India’s score to 147 runs.

Chasing the target of 48 runs, the start of the South African team was also not good. The opening batsmen Laura Wolvaardt and Anneke Bosch who came to start the match, could not stay at the crease for long. As soon as Chloe Tryon was out, the hope of winning the South African team ended. After 17 overs, the team’s score was 103 for 6 and now South Africa’s team needed 45 runs in the next 3 overs at a required run rate of 15.
The pressure of the required run rate on the African batsmen was increasing and Nadine de Klerk was also dismissed in 19 overs. She was clean bowled by Neha Rana on an individual score of 16 runs.
Nadine de Klerk’s wicket fell as the seventh wicket and as soon as she was dismissed, the African team’s batting completely faltered and the African team could only score 120 runs in the allotted 20 overs.

All the Indian bowlers did well for India. Especially Deepti Sharma using her experience took three wickets and Devika Vaidya took two wickets.
