BCCI released the IPL 2023 schedule

BCCI has announced the schedule of most popular T20 league (IPL 2023) of the world. This IPL will start from March 31 and the first match will be played between last year’s champions Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The last and final match of IPL 2023 will also be played in Ahmedabad.

IPL 2023 Schedule: When will the men’s IPL start and where will it be played?

The men’s IPL 2023 will start five days after the women’s IPL ends on March 26. All ten teams will be in action in the opening weekend: After Titans and CSK’s opening match, Punjab Kings will take on Kolkata Knight Riders in Mohali. Lucknow Super Giants will play against Delhi Capitals on April 1; And Rajasthan Royals in Hyderabad will take on Hyderabad Sunrisers, and Bengaluru will see Royal Challengers Bangalore play Mumbai Indians on Sunday (April 2).

A total of 70 matches will be played in this IPL, which will run for 52 days (31 March to 21 May) and each team will play its 14–14 league matches. The last and final match of IPL 2023 will be played in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

A total of 18 doubleheader matches will be played in this IPL including the matches to be held on every Saturday and Sunday during the league matches.

IPL 2023 Schedule: Venue’s of IPL Matches

A total of 12 cities’ cricket stadiums have been selected for the IPL 2023 match. These cities include the names of Ahmedabad, Mohali, Lucknow, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata, Jaipur, Mumbai, Guwahati and Dharamshala.

Each team will play 14 league matches, in which 7 matches will be played at their home ground and the remaining seven matches will be played at the ground outside the home ground. Since 2019, this traditional practice of IPL (home and away matches) was stopped after the arrival of the Kovid epidemic and now it is being started again.

IPL 2023 Schedule: Format of League Matches

All the 10 teams going to participate in IPL 2023 have been placed in two groups with 5-5 teams each, that is, five teams will be in Group-A and only five teams will be in Group-B.

Teams in Group A and B are as follows –
Group-A: Delhi Capitals, Rajasthan Royals, Kolkata Knight Riders, Lucknow Super Giants and Mumbai Indians.

Group-B: Chennai Super Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Punjab Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Gujarat Titans.

IPL 2023 Schedule: MI and CSK will clash in the 1000th match

IPL was started in the year 2008 and during IPL 2023 the 1000th match of the history of IPL is going to happen. To make this event a memorable one, two of the most successful IPL teams Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings have come face to face in this match.

Now it will be interesting to see which team wins the 1000th match.

IPL 2023 mini auction rained a lot of money

Many records were made and broken in the auction process held for IPL 2023 on December 23 last year, in this auction there were many players who were bought by making record bids.

England all-rounder Sam Karan, who joined Punjab Super Kings, was bought for 18.5 crores by making the most expensive bid in IPL history. Apart from him, Australian all-rounder Cameron Green was also included in his team by Mumbai Indians for a record price of 17.5 crores.
