The Women’s Premier League (WPL 2023), also known as the Women’s IPL, is set to begin after two days in Mumbai, India. Many players from all over the world are participating in this tournament. Many of whom have made a name for themselves on the international stage and many players are going to make a mark in the world through this tournament.

Ellyse perry

Ellyse Perry is one of the biggest names in women’s cricket and a key player for the Sydney Sixers in the Women’s T20 Challenge.  Perry is an all-rounder who has been a standout for Australia over the years.  She has the ability to bowl fast and can also hit big shots with the bat.  Perry’s experience and skill make him a dangerous player for any opposition.

Shafali Verma

Shafali Verma has become one of the most exciting young players in women’s cricket as she burst onto the international scene in 2019.  Verma is a hard-hitting opening batsman who has the ability to take the opposition away from victory with his game.  She will be seen playing for the Velocity team in the Women’s Premier League.

Harmanpreet Kaur

Harmanpreet Kaur is another big name in women’s cricket, and will play for Mumbai in the Women’s Premier League. Kaur is known for her hard-hitting batting and was instrumental in India’s success in the recent ICC T20 World Cup cricket.

Her most memorable performance came in the semi-finals of the 2017 Women’s World Cup, where she scored an unbeaten 171 off just 115 balls while leading India to a surprise win over Australia.  Kaur’s ability to hit big sixes and her calmness under pressure make her a different player.

Beth Mooney

Beth Mooney is a left-handed opening batsman who has excelled for Australia in recent years.  She is playing for Gujarat Giants in the Women’s Premier League.  Mooney is known for his ability to score quickly and take advantage of field restrictions in powerplay overs.  Having won the player of the match award in the final of the ICC T20 World Cup, Mooney is in the best form of her career and will look to continue her good form to take Gujarat Giants to victory.

Deandra Dottin

Deandra Dottin, known as a hard-hitting all-rounder from the West Indies, is going to play for the Gujarat Giants team in the Women’s Premier League.  Dottin is known for his aggressive batting and has the ability to find boundaries.  Along with this, he is also a useful bowler and can get wickets at crucial moments in the game.

 Smriti Madhana

 Smriti Mandhana, one of the most talented and popular Indian cricketers, has carved a niche for herself on the world stage.  She will be seen playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Women’s Premier League.  Madhana is a top-order batsman and has the ability to play aggressive shots as well as increase the strike rate suddenly.  His quick reflexes and deft touch make him dangerous for any bowler.

 Jemimah Rodrigues

Jemimah Rodrigues is another Indian player who has made a mark in international cricket at a very young age.  She will be seen opening the batting for Delhi Capitals in the Women’s Premier League.

Rodrigues is an aggressive top-order batsman who is short in height but can hit sixes and fours with ease.  His ability to smash bowlers right from the start of the innings, makes him a valuable player for Delhi Capitals.

 Nat Sciver Brunt is an English female cricketer who plays for Mumbai Indians in the Women’s Premier League. Sciver-Brunt is a middle-order batsman who paces his innings depending on the situation.  She is also a medium-pace bowler who is known for taking wickets in difficult times.  Sciver-Brunt’s all-round abilities make him a vital player for Mumbai Indians.

Deepti Sharma

Deepti Sharma is an Indian all-rounder who will be seen playing for the UP Warriors team in the Women’s Premier League. Sharma is a left-handed batsman and a right-arm off-spinner.  She is a key player in the Indian team and is known for her economical bowling.  Deepti Sharma’s experience and skills make her a valuable addition to the UP Warriors squad.
